Endodontics

Save and restore your natural teeth through quick, painless, top-notch endodontic (root canal) treatment.

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Endodontic treatment, more commonly known as a root canal, removes bacteria and disinfects inflamed pulp inside the tooth which is then filled and sealed in an effort to save the natural tooth. When paired with sedation dentistry, this procedure is quick and painless and can prevent more serious issues and tooth loss.

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

A root canal, or endodontic treatment, is performed when your dentist determines your tooth is diseased or infected through a series of methods, including X-rays. A root canal procedure consists of removing problematic pulp and cleaning inside the tooth before filling and sealing it.

Endodontic Retreatment

If a previously infected tooth becomes reinfected, endodontic retreatmentt may be necessary to save your natural tooth. Although it isn’t common, a tooth may become reinfected for a variety of reasons, such as having complicated canal anatomy and salivary contamination.

Endodontic Surgery

A nonsurgical root canal may not always solve the issue, in which case endodontic surgery will be recommended. During this surgery, fractures or previously unnoticed canals not visible on your X-rays will be addressed and cleaned. This surgery can also address and treat calcium deposits in root canals or damaged root surfaces.

Dental Implants

In the case that your natural tooth cannot be saved through endodontic treatment, retreatment, or surgery, your damaged tooth may be extracted. Dental implants act and function like your real teeth and are long-lasting. Learn more about dental implants here

PREVENTING ROOT CANALS

The most effective way to prevent the needs for a root canal is to both floss and brush regularly. Doing so removes harmful plaque and bacteria, and keeps both teeth and gums healthy. You should also visit your dentist every 6 months for routine cleanings and check-ups.

Damaged and diseased teeth can cause serious health concerns if not properly treated, so addressing concerns as early as possible is important. If you are experiencing pain or sensitivity, it may be good to schedule an appointment.

Very friendly and did excellent work. I had to have a tooth pulled, and the next day I had very little pain. I don’t have insurance, but he gave me a great price. Will definitively be going back, and have already recommended him to to other people. Thanks doc!
