What is the dental crown process?
The process for getting dental crowns is relatively simple. Similar to veneers, it is relatively painless and done within 2-3 visits. During your first visit, digital impressions will be taken. In the same visit, temporaries will be placed. Your second and final visit will be to place the final crown(s) and permanently bond them to your teeth. Any final adjustments will be made to make sure your bite is comfortable and you are satisfied with the results.
During a free consult, Dr. Meden can discuss your desired results and assess your candidacy for dental crowns. He will also obtain digital impressions and create a digital mockup of your new smile.

Choosing Dr. Walter Meden for my dental care was one of the best and easiest decisions I’ve made. His expertise is remarkable. What sets him apart is not just his skill but the genuine kindness he and his staff (especially Angela) consistently show. They make each visit feel like catching up with friends. Going to the dentist is never a chore with Dr. Meden—it’s an experience marked by care and knowledge.. Look at his Instagram @elitesmilesutah for before and after pics of all of his previous cases!
I’m a perfectionist. I’d been through two sets of veneers over 20 years and decided to go all in with a full-mouth reconstruction of crowns. I sought out Dr. Meden based on his credentials and experience – but most importantly – the cosmetic results he’s achieved with others. After our initial consult, with his insight into what he could accomplish, I knew I was in the right place.
Over the course of several weeks, he rebuilt my mouth, including my bite. Details matter to him. When a crown fitting or shape wasn’t right to his eye, he was on the phone with the lab to have it remade. And when all was said and done, my smile just could not have come out any better, and the new bite alignment was the correction I’ve essentially needed my entire adult life. Genius.
His office staff, Angela and Bailey, are a pleasure and professionals in every regard. And the quality of Dr. Meden’s work (which is artistry) is second to no one in New York or LA, which I can vouch for firsthand. I’m lucky to have found Elite Smiles and look forward to continuing under their care. Dr. Meden is a perfectionist.
